Micah the Poet is a writer, orator, poet, DJ, and community activist. Though a native of the DC area, he has traveled extensively with his work with the arts, outreach, and community building. Micah has been an influential voice all over the country for over 20 years. He has been featured at The Whitney Museum, The Smithsonian, The Lincoln Theater, The DC Public Library, numerous Pride events. He has been featured in the Washington Post, Blade magazine, as well as multiple anthologies. He is the author of Things No One Else Wants to Say. He works with artists, politicians, religious and government organizations along with the community to create spaces that empower the everyday person.
